I watched The Lakehouse!

Haha actually it was a long time ago, just that I forgot and I haven't blogged about it.

So, The Lakehouse in two words:

BO RING.

Oh, so that's one word? Whatever, the same meaning. It was a completely pointless plot, something you know will never exist ( I mean, hello, dating a guy who lives two years behind you?) and the show was so slow-moving.

You know, like some shows you can really be attached to the whole plot, and not blink or twitch an eye and pay full attention, and other shows you just feel like sleeping and sort of wishing you can get out of the cinema as soon as possible.

The Lakehouse, unfortunately, is one of those (the latter) shows, along with other shows I fell asleep in like Just My Luck and Aquamarine.

NO JOKES.
NO GAGS.
NO TALKING ( I know it's supposed to be one of those artistic films where there's not supposed to be any noise to make it feel as poetic and as LURRRVE-y as possible. But I HATE those films).
NO FUNNY FIGHTING SCENES (I know we all hate Jackie Chans and all, but sometimes the plot gets so amazingly boring you need something to push it along. Like Daredevil and Elektra's preschool playground fighting scene in Daredevil).
NO HOT GUYS. (No offence to Keanu Reeves fans, I mean, I used to like him in the Matrix. But that was like a long, long long long long loooooong time ago).
NO POPCORN (ok, fine, we didn't buy it)

TOO MUCH CRYING AND CRYING AND CRYING AND SOBBING AND DRAMATISING THE WHOLE THING.

Someone needs to tell Sandra Bullock this:
So what if you would never meet your penpal again? For all you know, the person could be someone horribly deformed, or even a girl (gasp, a conspiracy! That will at least make this ho-hum plot interesting!).

I don't think anybody could fall in love with a person you've never met. It's impossible, and the whole unreality of the whole thing PLUS the fact that they live two years apart (so time-traveller's wife, so cliche) IS UNBELIEVABLE.

So, want to watch a good show?

DON'T watch this.

edit
Anyway today after church me and Amelia (fine, gramatically it should be amelia and me) went to Wisma, looked around for a bit, she bought a necklace! Then I took 171 back home. Ho-hum. Any more boring and my life can be made into an artistic movie.
